DRONE NERDS RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES
ABZ L30 30 liters. 52 acres an hour. Droplets you control.
The first European-made 30-liter spraying drone, built around a Controlled Droplet Application rotating-disc system that puts the right droplet size exactly where it's needed. Up to 21 ha/h (β52 ac/h) at 16 L/min, dual-RTK centimeter positioning, LiDAR 3D obstacle avoidance, and compatibility with the optional 50 L spreader for seed and granular. This listing is the aircraft and spray system only, for operators adding to an existing ABZ fleet or sourcing batteries, charger and spreader separately.
Sized for the farm
between small and huge.
Designed for medium to larger operations, 50 to 300 ha, where a tractor is too slow, too heavy after rain, or can't get in at all. The L30 balances working speed, low operating cost and easy logistics.

Controlled Droplet Application.
Less product. Better coverage.
Instead of pressure nozzles, the L30 uses liquid-cooled rotating discs that spin the liquid into droplets of a size you choose, from 60 to 1,000 microns. The right size for the crop and the weather means less drift, less waste, and more product landing where it works.

Advanced flight planning
Route optimization for maximum efficiency, with dedicated planning for vineyards and orchards.
-
OSS
Open-source ArduPilot
Open flight stack means the platform is customizable and not locked to one vendor's cloud. Compatible with Emlid RTK base stations.
-
Local
No remote data transmission
Flight and field data stay on your equipment. Nothing goes to remote servers.
Where it earns
its keep.
Documented results from ABZ field work. Fast response after rain, short treatment windows, and ground a tractor can't reach.
-

Cereals and arable
Medium to large fields, 50 to 300 ha. Immediate intervention after rain when tractors would compact or sink.
WheatRow crops -

Orchards and vineyards
Low and mid-canopy specialty crops where downward airflow and droplet control matter most.
CitrusVines -

Solar panel washing
The same airframe and pump cleaning panel arrays. One drone, two revenue streams.
Solar farmsWashing -

Seeding and granular
Cover crops, fertilizer and deicing with the optional 50 L spreader.

Questions we get
about the L30.
Straight answers from the team that configures and supports these systems.
What do I need to spray legally in the US?
Agricultural spraying by drone is a Part 137 operation. You'll need a Part 107 remote pilot certificate, a Part 137 agricultural aircraft operator certificate, and because the L30 is over 55 lb, a 44807 exemption from the FAA. State pesticide applicator licensing applies too. Our enterprise team has walked many operators through this; call us before you buy and we'll map it out.
How is CDA different from nozzle spraying?
Conventional nozzles force liquid through an orifice under pressure, producing a wide, uncontrolled range of droplet sizes. CDA spins the liquid off a rotating disc, so droplets come out at a consistent size you set, from 60 to 1,000 microns. Consistent droplets mean predictable coverage and far less drift and waste.
How much area per battery?
Coverage depends on application rate, speed and terrain, so plan on the field rather than a single number. The 21 ha/h figure is maximum spraying performance. Plan on four batteries and a charger to keep the aircraft cycling through a full morning.
Can it do more than spray?
Yes. The optional 50 L spreader handles seed, granular fertilizer and deicing agents. Operators also use the L30 for greenhouse shading and solar panel washing.
Why does open-source ArduPilot matter?
The L30 runs an open flight stack, so the development roadmap follows customer feedback and the system can be customized rather than locked to a manufacturer cloud. It also means no flight or field data is transmitted to remote servers; it stays on your equipment.
Who services it?
Drone Nerds is an authorized ABZ Innovation dealer and ABZ provides a service package portfolio. Some repairs can be done in the field with ABZ service kits and support, which matters when the window to spray is short.
What exactly is included?
The L30 aircraft with its CDA spray system. No batteries, no charger, no spreader; those are sold separately or bundled in the Ready to Fly Kit. This listing is for operators adding an aircraft to an existing L30 setup.
