Osmo Mobile 8
vs the 7 Series

Same phone clamp family. The 8 adds the moves and the module.

Rule of thumb: if you film people or pets, the 8 is the one: the 360° pan and low-angle grip are built around tracking. The 7P is the value pick if you don't need the new moves; the 7 is for stabilization only.

Questions we get
about the Osmo Mobile 8.

From the team that sells and services more DJI than anyone in South Florida.

Does tracking only work in the DJI app?

No. With the Multifunctional Module attached, the gimbal tracks people, cats and dogs natively in your phone's camera app, live-streaming apps and video calls. DJI Mimo adds ActiveTrack 7.0, Dual Lens Boost and gesture control on top.

Is the Multifunctional Module included?

Yes, it's in the box with this listing. It handles tracking, the fill light and DJI Mic audio.

Will it work with my phone?

Most current iPhones and Android phones with the magnetic clamp. Dual Lens Boost needs an iPhone 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max or later Pro model. Lightning-port iPhones need the optional USB-C to Lightning cable for module audio. Check DJI's compatibility list for your exact model.

Does it work with my MagSafe case?

With the optional MagSafe mount, yes: iPhone 12 and later with Apple's official MagSafe cases, no need to remove the case. The included clamp works with any phone.

Which mics connect to it?

DJI Mic 3, Mic Mini and Mic 2 transmitters pair directly to the module. No separate receiver needed.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 10 hours, and it can charge your phone while you shoot. Measured balanced and level without accessories; tracking and lighting use more.
