ACR Systems Gimbals
ACR Systems makes European-sourced cinematic gimbals. The brand originally called BeSteady has three evolutionary gimbals: ACR The Plus, ACR The Plus Advanced and ACR The Beast. All current models can be handheld or mounted on heavy payload drones or other vehicles. The Plus and The Plus Advanced accept light cinematic-quality cameras and DSLRs. The Beast can handle those models or more sophisticated lines, including those from RED Cinema. We also offer a wide array of ACR accessories to suit almost infinite user needs.
Depending on the model, ACR gimbals provide:
- Light weight — 2.65 to 6.5 lb.
- Payloads from 5.29 to 13.23 lb.
- Advanced software with simple sliders for configuration
- Up to 2 hours recording time on a single battery
- Cancellation of vigorous movements from running and fast vehicle motion
- Capability for extreme shooting angles
- Adaptability to available remote control equipment
- Cinematic Follow Mode with adjustable lag time
- Inverted mode for overhead or other sophisticated angles without user strain
ACR The Plus Basic
Lock on a point on the horizon, and The Plus Basic goes back to it every time. This gimbal is smart, sophisticated and remarkably easy to configure. Extreme angles, suspension, and mounting on drones or on rolling vehicles are all possible.
The Plus Basic is compatible with the Sony Alfa series, Sony A7s, Sony NEX-3, NEX-5 and NEX-7, and Sony CX30/760; Canon 5D, Canon 6D and Canon 7D; Panasonic Lumix GH1, GH2, GH3 and GH4; and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (BPCC).
ACR The Plus Advanced
Aircraft-grade aluminum, carbon fiber, nanopolymer and steel make this cinematic gimbal as strong as it is light — just shy of 4 pounds. They also make this gimbal, even with a camera mounted, easy to handle without fatigue. The Plus Advanced can accommodate the same video cameras and DSLRs as The Plus Basic. Its payload is 5.29 pounds. The Advanced accepts more options to precisely meet shooting conditions.
ACR The Beast
The Beast V2 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal is a cinematic wonder. Its 3-axis gimbal with brushless motors, precise sensors and sophisticated firmware stabilize quality cameras for serious filmmaking. The payload is 13.23 pounds — more than twice its own weight of 6.5 pounds.
The Beast can handle the RED Epic, RED Scarlett, Sony FS7 and F55, and Canon C300 and C500.The camera is managed by sophisticated software displayed on its own OLED screen. No computers or tablets are needed for setup, which takes seconds.
Handhold it, mount it on a drone or crane, suspend it by cable, mount it to a stand or operate it remotely from a radio controlled vehicle. Run with it — it cancels every movement. External control accessories can be powered by the main battery.
Drone Nerds understands that equipment needs run deep. It has everything you need to remotely control your drone-mounted ACR Systems Gimbal and switch uses almost instantly. It has receiver-transmitter systems for precise remote control. A handheld module for run-and-gun shooting. Rod extenders for mounting accessories. Batteries and battery mounts. And the expertise to guide you to a smart purchase.
